Who it fits

HOMEDANT Shelving Key Specs Explained

Width: 35.9 inches

This width gives you ample horizontal space for standard toolboxes and storage bins. You can fit wider items without them overhanging the edges. This dimension suits garages and basements where floor space is limited but wall length is available. When comparing storage units, check this measurement to ensure your largest tools fit comfortably without crowding.

Height: 71.3 inches

This height provides five tiers for vertical storage, maximizing your available space. You can store tall items like leaf blowers or large containers on the upper shelves. It fits under most standard garage ceilings. When shopping for tool storage, verify your ceiling clearance to ensure this unit fits without obstruction, allowing you to use every inch of vertical room.

Depth: 16.2 inches

This depth accommodates most standard tool cases and plastic totes. It prevents items from sticking out too far, keeping walkways clear. It is narrower than some heavy-duty racks, making it ideal for tighter spaces like closets or laundry rooms. Compare this with deeper units if you store bulky equipment that requires more front-to-back room.

Tiers: 5

Five tiers allow you to separate tools by category or frequency of use. You can place heavy items on lower shelves for stability and lighter items higher up. This configuration offers significant storage capacity in a compact footprint. When evaluating tool storage, consider how many levels you need to keep your workspace organized without overcrowding any single shelf.

Weight: 40.8 pounds

This weight indicates a sturdy metal construction that resists tipping when loaded. It is heavy enough to feel solid but manageable for two people to assemble and move. The weight contributes to stability, which is crucial for tool storage. When comparing units, heavier frames often suggest better load-bearing capabilities, ensuring your expensive tools remain secure during use.

Design and build details

The listing describes this unit as a metal storage shelf with a black powder-coated finish. This coating provides a sleek look that works in living areas while remaining tough for garage use. The material choice suggests durability without an industrial appearance. Each unit weighs 40.8 pounds, according to the listing. This weight helps stabilize the structure when loaded with heavy items like toolboxes or appliances.

The shelving features five tiers that are fully adjustable. You can reposition the shelves to accommodate totes, tall items, or standard bins. The boltless design allows for tool-free assembly in minutes. This snap-together construction means you do not need a drill or extra hardware. The layout fits various spaces, including pantries, closets, and home offices.

Dimensions are 35.9 inches wide, 71.3 inches high, and 16.2 inches deep. The narrow depth suits tight corners or areas where floor space is limited. The width provides ample horizontal space for wider items without overhang. The listing notes the product is made in Korea, citing precision manufacturing for long-term reliability. This build quality supports consistent performance across different rooms in your home.

Setup and everyday use guide

The HOMEDANT 35.9" 5-Tier Metal Shelving uses a boltless snap-together design. You can assemble the unit in minutes without a drill or extra hardware. This tool-free assembly means you do not need to hunt for screws or wrenches during setup. The structure relies on precise manufacturing to lock together securely. Once built, the unit stands at 71.3 inches tall. This height allows you to store tall items on the upper tiers while keeping lower shelves accessible for frequent use. The five metal tiers are fully adjustable. You can reposition the shelf levels to fit storage totes, small appliances, or irregularly shaped objects. If your storage needs change, you can re-space the tiers anytime. The 35.9-inch width and 16.2-inch depth provide a stable footprint. This size fits standard toolboxes and bins without overhang. The black powder-coated finish protects the metal from scratches and dust. This clean look works in garages, basements, or home offices. The material is made in Korea, which the listing cites as a factor for long-term reliability. You can use these shelves to organize pantries, closets, or laundry rooms. The adjustable nature of the tiers ensures the unit adapts to your specific items. You simply place the items on the metal surface and let the structure bear the weight. No complex tools are required for daily adjustments or initial setup.

Before You Buy This Shelving

This HOMEDANT 35.9" 5-Tier Metal Shelving 2-Pack fits well in garages, basements, or pantries. Its 16.2-inch depth is narrow, so you must check if your standard storage totes or toolboxes will sit flat without overhanging. The 35.9-inch width accommodates most mid-sized containers, but verify your specific items first. Because the shelves are fully adjustable, you can reposition tiers as your storage needs change. This flexibility makes it a practical companion to your primary tool chest, offering vertical space for lighter items or seasonal supplies. The black powder-coated finish resists scratches and looks clean in living areas. You will need to wipe it down occasionally to remove dust. Since it is metal, ensure your floor is level for stability. This unit complements other storage options by providing affordable, expandable capacity without requiring complex assembly tools.
